Consistent Models Guide
Creating a consistent model lets you generate on-brand photoshoots with the same recognizable look—perfect for campaigns, catalogs, and more. Plus, consistent models work seamlessly with FASHN features like Model Swap, letting you replace models in existing photos while keeping the clothing and setting intact.
Help the AI learn your model's look—with the right photos. It's easier than you think!
1. How Many Photos?
🎯 Aim for 8–12 great shots.
Up to 20 is fine if each photo is clearly different. Think variety:
- Angles – front, side, three-quarter
- Expressions – smiling, neutral, laughing
- Lighting – indoor, natural light, studio
- Backgrounds – plain wall, outdoor, etc.
Repeating the same type of photo won't help—and may even hurt.
2. What Types of Photos?
Type | How many | What it shows |
---|---|---|
Close‑up | 8+ | Face fills most of the frame, minimal background |
Half‑body | 0-2 | Waist or chest up, face still clearly visible |
Full‑body | 0-2 | Full figure in frame |
Face likeness is key for most cases. Body shape can be guided with prompts, so include body images only if the exact figure matters for your use-case.
3. Photo Quality Checklist ✅
- Clear, sharp, high‑resolution (phone portrait mode or DSLR is great)
- Good lighting — no harsh shadows or blown-out highlights
- Natural, varied expressions
- Mix of outfits, backgrounds, and angles
- No hats, sunglasses, masks, or other people
- No heavy filters or retouching
- No near-duplicates — every image should be distinct
4. Pro Tips
- Prefer indoor/studio shots if that's what you want in your results.
- The AI learns what it sees: choose the hair, makeup, and style you want in outputs.
- If you're going for very different looks (e.g., different hairstyles or themes), it's best to train separate sets of 8–12 photos for each.
