Model Lifecycle
Each FASHN API model has a lifecycle stage that indicates its stability and how changes are managed. Check this page when choosing a model or planning an upgrade.
Lifecycle stages
| Stage | What it means | Integration guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Stable | Mature and supported for long-term use. Changes maintain backwards compatibility. | Recommended for production integrations that prioritize stability. |
| Preview | Supported and approaching stable status. Output behavior may continue to improve before the stable release. | Suitable for production use when you can review output changes as the model evolves. |
| Experimental | Supported but still evolving. Behavior, parameters, or response schema may change. | Evaluate before production use and allow time to adapt to changes. |
| Deprecated | Scheduled for discontinuation in favor of a newer model or workflow. | Migrate to the recommended replacement before the stated retirement date. |
